Weaning Day!

Once again, Rachel decided to be our last ewe to deliver in the lambing season...by a lot! But she decided that she didn't need my help. As I walked out to the field for morning feeding, a new little ram lamb was running around being curious about his new world and his much bigger siblings.

Ruth decided to be our most considerate ewe this lambing season. Her little ram lamb was born in the afternoon on Maundy Thursday. This was her first lambing, and she delivered that 13.4 pound lamb like a trooper!

Rebecca decided to go into labor in the middle of the night; but luckily, she finished her work before the early morning rainstorm set in. Rebecca and (not-so-little) Deborah are doing just fine. Deborah weighed in at 13.8 pounds!

Sarah delivered a sweet little ewe lamb at dawn. She needed a little help, but Sarah and little Abigail are doing great!

Pearl delivered twins in the early hours: a little ram and a little ewe. Sadly, after emergency intervention for the next 24 hours, the little ewe did not make it.... a very difficult loss. The good news is that Pearl and her little ram lamb are inseparable, and he has been happy, healthy, and very active!
